Volunteers Welcome!

Know Your Dough is a non-profit organization created to meet a need in our community – that of increasing the personal financial wellness of our youth and young adults. We are in need of some volunteers to teach programs to 2nd, 4th , 7th, teens and young adults.

Ideal candidates will have teaching experience and/or knowledge of the financial services industries, such as accounting, banking and investing and last but not least a passion for working with youth.  Students will learn about Needs & Wants, Choices, Budgeting, Saving, and Protecting their Money.

Programs typically last 5 hours: meeting 1 hour
per day for an entire week, during regularly scheduled social studies classes.

Know Your Dough (KYD) would like to thank all of the volunteers who led programs in the 2018-19 school year. Their generous gifts of time and talent provided the support necessary to offer financial wellness classes in Durango schools, making these programs possible.
